Dr. Salih Binici
Dr. Salih Binici has taught graduate-level courses in the Measurement and Statistics program at the Florida State University since 2007.
He received his B.A. in Counseling Psychology from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Measurement and Statistics from Florida State University. He is currently serving as the Director of Psychometric Services in the Office of Assessment at the Florida Department of Education. Under his leadership, Dr. Binici’s team plays an integral part in establishing the scales and scores for the Florida’s large-scale assessment programs, such as the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test 2.0 and Florida Standards Assessments. Dr. Binici served as president of the Florida Educational Research Association (FERA) and played a critical role in making sure FERA addresses issues at stake for university faculty and graduate researchers as well as assessment experts from school districts and the Florida Department of Education.
